Annual Report 2025/26
Our Annual Report 2025/26 covers a year of deliberate change for Bjørn Thorsen, as we moved from being a mainly Nordic distributor toward becoming a pan-European distributor and solution provider. The report describes how we reorganized into a matrix structure, broadened our distribution partnerships across Europe, and invested in a larger production facility for NFT, alongside our financial results for the year.
On sustainability, this year’s report is prepared under the Voluntary Sustainability Reporting Standard for SMEs (VSME). Following the EU’s revision of the CSRD, we are no longer legally required to report under the directive. Instead of building on standards that are still being simplified, we chose the VSME as our framework for this year. This is a change of framework, not of ambition. We kept the elements that gave last year’s report its depth: our Double Materiality Assessment and the company-specific KPIs we developed alongside it. We also expanded and strengthened our greenhouse gas accounting through the Position Green Carbon Accounting platform, as we work toward having our targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative by 2028.
Annual report 2024/25
Our Annual Report 2024/25 marked a significant step forward in how we report. For the first time, it was structured in alignment with the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), reflecting our commitment to meeting the highest standards of corporate transparency.
The report includes the outcomes of our first Double Materiality Assessment, improved sustainability KPIs, and expanded disclosures covering climate, pollution, resource use, and social topics across our operations and value chain. Financial reporting, management commentary, and sustainability performance are fully integrated, providing a transparent account of our governance, our progress, and our long-term direction.
Once again, our financial reporting, management commentary, and sustainability performance are brought together in one integrated report. Together they give a transparent account of how we create value, how we manage our responsibilities, and where we are heading.
Previous Reports
Before adopting the CSRD and ESRS frameworks, Bjørn Thorsen has consistently published Sustainability Reports that reflect our commitment to transparency and responsible business. While these earlier reports were not structured around a formal reporting standard, they maintained a clear ESG structure with consistent sustainability data, giving stakeholders a view of our environmental, social, and governance performance over time.
Together, our reports tell the story of a company that has been building its sustainability foundations year by year, and that is now stepping up to the level of disclosure that regulators, partners, and the market increasingly expect.
