Bjørn Thorsen A/S is now distributing the new byko-test – a film thickness gage with dew point measurement from BYK-Gardner, in the Danish and Icelandic markets.
The newest byk-test addition is a 2 in 1 gage, which delivers accurate and repeatable measurement of dry film thickness on Fe and NFe substrates and measures humidity, temperature, and dew point of the environment. While the new byko-test is especially aimed for coaters of exterior structures, like marine and protective coaters, there will also be a Lite version with reliable and accurate film thickness measurement only.
Some of the key attributes of this instrument are:
• Compact design for one hand operation
• Color display with 90° and 180° flip screen
• Automatic substrate recognition
• Strong wear resistant ruby probe tip
• Zero, single, two point calibrations
• Hi/Low tolerance settings for pass/fail warning
• Statistics mode with 1000 measurement memory
• Continous measurement mode
• Stability mode warns user when instrument is tilted preventing wrong readings
• SSPC specific mode for standardized measurement protocols and calibration routines
